Are you a YPS Alumni who wants to share your YPS experience with others? Become an Alumni Ambassador and recruit peers, friends and others to learn about critical public policy issues and mediation skills through Youth Policy Summit!
No one knows YPS, or high school students, better than you! Do a presentation at your school, home, with a club or out of school group you belong to, or just with a few friends! Sharing your YPS experience along with pictures, stories, and some of your policy recommendations is a great way to get others involved. YPS staff is available to give you a generic presentation model, provide handouts, or any other helpful support.
Too shy to present? You can still play a huge role in the future success of YPS! Pass along program information and anecdotes of your personal experience to peers and relevant groups of students by email. Your efforts can lead to more YPS participants, and strong youth leaders, in your home community. Contact YPS staff for a sample email to get you started.
It may not sound like much, but submitting a blog post for the YPS Blog helps people learn about the impact YPS has on participants, and shares your knowledge and ideas with a wide audience. Writing a brief piece about your YPS experience, an action project or club you created since participation, or how you've used your YPS knowledge or mediation skills since the Summit offers perspective students and program funders insight into the value and worth of YPS programming.
