YPS is a valauble program of The Keystone Center, and multiple staff add to the program's success and implementation each year. Every YPS program is staffed by a Program Manager and a Facilitator. YPS Program Staff
Jessye Crowe-Rothstein
Program Manager, Youth Policy Summit
Jessye manages YPS programs from Keystone's Washington D.C. office. Jessye works with Liz on all aspects of YPS program management, from recruiting and marketing to fundraising, logistical management and Summit implementation.
Prior to joining Keystone, Jessye spent four years working for an international service organization offering overseas volunteer opportunities for students. Jessye spent her first two years of college at Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland, earned her B. A. in Peace & Justice Studies from Tufts University, and completed her M. A. in International Education Development at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Jeremy Kranowitz
Director, Center for Eduction
Jeremy Kranowitz serves as Director of The Keystone Center for Education, which includes both teacher professional development training on various curricula and a transformational education program for high school students called the Youth Policy Summit. As Director, Jeremy manages a team of educators that conduct trainings in Colorado and around the country.
He also conducts mediation, facilitation, and strategic planning for several clients including the Department of Energy and the US Geological Survey, and he serves as Keystone's Congressional Liaison. His work has focused on topics including regional electric transmission, hydrogen vehicles and alternative fuels, siting of biosafety laboratories, nuclear power, carbon sequestration and deep space communication satellites. Prior to joining Keystone, Jeremy directed a Clean Air Campaign at the Izaak Walton League of America, working with grassroots efforts, the government, and electric utility companies on efforts to reduce air pollution. Jeremy also helped establish a new not-for-profit organization, Forest Trends, which focuses on building coalitions to advance the goals of sustainable forestry worldwide.
Jeremy earned his B.A. and a master's degree in environmental science at The Johns Hopkins University, a Master's of Public Administration degree from New York University, and conflict resolution training from George Mason University. He is a roster member of the US Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution.

Elizabeth Roush
Program Manager, Youth Policy Summit
Elizabeth manages YPS programs from our Keystone, Colorado office. Liz works with Jessye on all aspects of YPS program management, from recruiting and marketing to fundraising, logistical management and Summit implementation.
Elizabeth began working with students in 2003 as a backpacking trip leader in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park, and has since led trips throughout northern Colorado and New Mexico. Elizabeth pursued her interests in environmental education at the Teton Science School in Jackson, Wyoming, where she worked as a field instructor and took courses in science and education. She earned her B.A. in Spanish and Environmental Studies from Colgate University, and completed a M.A. in Education and Curriculum from the University of Denver.

Johanna Gibbs
Associate, Center for Science and Public Policy
Johanna is an Associate with Keystone's Science and Public Policy program where she focuses primarily on health-related projects. She has worked with a diverse group of federal, state, and local agencies, including the Institute of Medicine, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), LiveWell Colorado, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), The New York State Department of Health, and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). Beyond agency representatives, she's worked with private sector, citizens, and health advocates.
Her processes have ranged from large and small public involvement processes to consensus-based stakeholder groups. These processes have addressed issues of pandemic flu planning, vaccine safety and obesity prevention. Johanna is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a bachelor's degree in political science and is currently working on her Master's Degree in Public Policy at the University of Colorado at Denver.
Mary Grace Guebert
Associate, Development & Strategic Partnerships
Mary Grace (Gracie) Guebert is the Associate for Development and Strategic Partnerships in Keystone’s Washington DC office. In this role, she supports overall institutional fundraising efforts as well as strategic planning and development for the Keystone Center for Education. Prior to joining Keystone, Gracie spent three and a half years with The Brookings Institution, where she was a member of the Foreign Policy development team. She also previously studied and worked abroad as a teacher in Rome, Italy. Gracie graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, Indiana. She is originally from Delavan, Illinois. In her free time, Gracie enjoys cooking, reading, speaking Italiano, and riding her vintage cruiser bicycle around Capitol Hill.
Matt Mulica
Associate, Center for Science and Public Policy
Matthew is an associate with Keystone’s Science and Public Policy program, providing mediation, facilitation and project management services within Keystone’s environment, health, and energy practice areas. Matthew works with diverse public, private and NGO stakeholder groups and has designed and facilitated stakeholder dialogues, public engagement processes, and strategic planning processes. Since 2005 he has mediated civil cases in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado and is the President of the Center for Resolution in Jackson, Wyo. From 2008 to 2010 he worked on long-range planning for the Denver Water Department as a water resource planner.
Matthew holds a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University and bachelor’s degree in both marketing and management from the University of Montana. His personal and recreational interests lie in the mountains, deserts and rivers of the West.

Julie Shapiro
Associate, Center for Science and Public Policy
Julie joined the Keystone Center in April of 2008 as associate in the environmental practice area. Her projects include issues of sustainability in agriculture, forestry, and mining. Her previous work experience includes water policy research in Boulder, CO and natural science education in Eagle County, CO.
Julie holds a Masters in Environmental Studies, with a focus on natural resource policy and management, from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2007). She also holds Bachelors degrees in Geosciences and English from Williams College (2003).
