High School Participants

All 2012 YPS programs are fee-for-service, with costs ranging from $600-$950 for the week.

  • NCSSSMST YPS on Energy Infrastructure: $600
  • YPS on Urban Sustainability at UC Denver: $850
  • YPS on Urban Sustainabillity at Manhattan College: $950
  • YPS on Water Resources at Auburn University: $750
  • YPS on Great Lakes Water Resources at Aquinas College: $800
  • YPS on Energy Innovation at CSU, Dominguez Hills: $950

This all inclusive fee includes:

  • All Summit sessions and evening activities
  • Food (3 meals a day) and lodging
  • 24 hour supervision by program staff
  • Round-trip transportation from a specific nearby metro airport to the YPS program on the YPS bus (if needed)
  • A certificate of completion
  • Course materials
  • Round-trip transportation to related field trips and activities

This fee does not cover:

  • Round-trip airfare to a local airport or, if traveling by car, transportation to a YPS program location

  • Additional spending money for snacks and/or souvenirs

Program Discounts*

We offer program discounts for students who sign up early or recruit a friend to join them at YPS!

$50 discount for early bird applicants who apply before February 15, 2012.

$50 discount for students who recruit a friend to attend YPS with you! Just make sure your friend mentions your name on their application, and we will take $50 off your invoice.

*due to subsidized pricing, program discounts do not apply to the NCSSSMST Program.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

TKC offers a cancellation policy in the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending YPS. Once you have received your acceptance email, your $50 deposit is nonrefundable under any circumstances. If you cancel after being accepted, the following cancellation fees apply:

Over 60 days before program start date: $200 cancellation fee*

60-30 days before program start date: $500 cancellation fee*

Less than 30 days before program start date: No refund

*Your cancellation fee will be waived if you find a student to replace you in the program.
